Staff Stories: Meet the Fetters – The Brother and Sister Duo at Aztek

“Our team is like a family” say quite a few businesses out there. But what happens when it’s more than marketing speak, but the actual truth? Today, we’re talking to a brother and sister within the business, Gosia and Patryk Fetter.

Gosia is our Operations Manager and oversees HR, finance and day-to-day office duties. Her brother, Patryk, is Head of Sales, which includes networking, sales strategy, client account management and meetings across the UK.

There’s a lot to cover in our interview. Is working with a sibling all happiness and harmony? How would they describe the Aztek culture? And why do people sometimes call Gosia, “Gary”?’

We’d better get started. Lets Meet The Fetters.

Sibling Harmony?

What are the pros and cons of having a brother/sister in the same organisation?

Patryk: Pros? What pros? [Laughs.] But, seriously, you get to realise how having someone close who is family goes a long way. There’s an intuition there – sometimes we don’t even need words to understand each other.

Gosia: As you grow up, you have your own life and work, and drift apart. Now we’re closer to each other than ever, which is great. But, because we work at the same office, we don’t have too much to talk about during the weekend!

Patryk: We have a non-verbal agreement – don’t talk on Saturdays or Sundays unless it’s an emergency! That said, we still enjoy travelling together; we even went to Warsaw late last year.

The Aztek Culture

You’ve each been with Aztek for quite a few years. What’s kept you here?

Gosia: Many things. There’s an opportunity to progress. Our MD, Anthony, is a genius and it’s interesting to see how he brings ideas to life and can make something so complicated look so easy. Having my brother here is another factor. Also, loyalty goes both ways at Aztek.

Patryk: There’s a genuine sense of recognition, partnership and familiarity that really sets the tone. It’s a culture of belonging.

You’ve each been given growth opportunities?

Patryk: Absolutely – I have worked my way up to Head of Sales from an Account Executive position. When I began my journey with Aztek, I quickly realised there was more to success than simply being able to sell – it’s about relationships and trust. Recognising this has become a real factor in my progression – and here I am!

Gosia: I started as a part-time personal assistant for Anthony and progressed to Operations Manager with a lot more duties and responsibilities. I’ve learned a lot of new things at Aztek. Since joining, not one day has been the same for me.

How would you describe the Aztek culture in a few words?

Gosia: It’s personal. At corporations I’ve worked for, you didn’t get to know people so well. At Aztek, the rapport is good, and the sense of humour is great. Things can be stressful, but the ability to have open conversations at any time makes a real difference.

Patryk: Work hard, play hard. We back each other Monday to Sunday, 24/7 – that’s how we’re wired. Strong team energy makes a real difference, and we live by the belief that we will succeed together.

IT Talk

You’re deep in the world of IT. What innovations or trends most excite you?

Patryk: AI. It’s becoming a genuinely powerful tool. For IT companies and MSPs in particular, it presents a real opportunity to augment cyber security. Its use of intelligent monitoring, automation, and advanced threat detection and response enables stronger and more adaptive security. Used correctly, it doesn’t replace people, it enhances decision-making and allows teams to focus on higher-value work.

And what innovation, technology, or mindset is fundamental to a solid business IT setup?

Gosia: Being open to change. One of the most dangerous sentences is, “We’ve always done it this way.”

Patryk: A solid IT setup is built on a proactive mindset, security-first design, and standardised, automated systems that support the business – not just the technology.

And finally…

Gosia, there’s a rumour going around that you used to be called Gary?

Gosia. [Laughs.]  When I started working for Anthony, there were two Gosias and it was getting confusing. One day, I answered the phone to an elderly gentleman. He asked my name and I told him. “Thank you, Gary,” he replied. So that was it. I was Gary – until another Gary joined the team.

But the Gary name lives on in your household?

Yes, one of my cats is called Gary – after my “office name” – and the other is Nela. They’re also brother and sister, and they’re quite into IT – in the sense that they sit on my home laptop.

What do you both do out of the office?

Patryk: I like to stay fit through boxing and swimming, and I make time to either read or listen to audiobooks. I have a few favourites, but Atomic Habits by James Clear stands out as an important reminder of how our actions turn into habits and how small, consistent steps create a powerful compound effect in everything we do. I also enjoy going for drives and exploring new places with the people closest to me.

Gosia: My life is anything but quiet. I like to travel, so I organise trips, either abroad or in the UK. This year, I’m going to Paris with a few friends from my Jehovah’s Witnesses congregation. If I’m not in ministry during the weekend, it’s dinners, movie nights, trips, beach visits or a party. But don’t worry – I have my downtime with the cats and family too. There’s a healthy balance here!
